Living in Downtown
A large share of downtown Dallas housing is in converted office towers and historic buildings, so floor plans vary more than in new construction. Ceiling heights, window sizes and closet space can change a lot from one building to the next.
All of the DART light rail lines run through downtown, which makes it one of the easiest places in Dallas to live without driving every day. The Dallas Farmers Market and its apartment blocks sit at the south end of downtown.
Garage parking downtown is usually extra, and some older buildings use a nearby garage instead of their own. Ask where the car goes and what it costs.
